Joe Battaglia
Joe Battaglia is a Senior Analyst and Managing Director at Hamilton Square Partners Management, LP ("HSq"). Prior to joining HSq, he served as a senior research analyst on David Tukey’s team at ExodusPoint Capital Management covering smidcap biotech companies. Before ExodusPoint, Joe spent six years at Tang Capital Management, a >$1b single-manager life‑sciences investment fund, rising to Executive Director and leading public‑and-private investments across >30 companies. At Tang, he also played a pivotal role in the operational management of several of the fund’s portfolio companies including, designing and managing clinical trials, structuring M&A transactions, and guiding multiple companies through the IPO process. Earlier in his career, Joe spent three years leading business development transactions at a startup public biotech company and over four years at healthcare-focused management consulting and investment banking firms. Joe holds a Master’s Degree in Medical Sciences from Boston University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience from Dartmouth College.
