David S. Tukey, Ph.D.
David Tukey is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Hamilton Square Partners Management, LP (“HSq”), a firm investing in healthcare innovation. Prior to founding HSq, Dr. Tukey was a Portfolio Manager at ExodusPoint Capital Management, where he spent three years leading a team dedicated to global healthcare investments. Before that, he began his investment career at Point72 and its affiliates, where he spent nine years, rising from intern to analyst, portfolio manager, and private biotech investor.
Before transitioning to investing, Dr. Tukey was a biomedical researcher. He earned a Ph.D. and completed postdoctoral work in neuroscience at NYU, during which he published a number of peer-reviewed papers on biochemical changes in the brain following rewarding stimuli, such as sugar. His publications have been cited nearly 600 times. Dr. Tukey holds a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from Princeton and hails from Hamilton Square, New Jersey.
